Quéntar: Pantano de Quéntar - Barranco del Tintín
Sunday 17th of November 2024 11:00 AMThis circular walk starts next to the Pantano de Quéntar near the village of Quéntar. It is 11.9km long, has an elevation of 408m and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.
Please note: If you find fallen fruit or nuts on the public road then it is OK to pick it up. BUT you must not enter into private property and pick anything!!
LONG DESCRIPTION
The walk starts by the Pantano de Quéntar. After the dam, there is a gentle uphill section and we walk past the statue of the mountain goat and through the Barranco del Tintín and past a number of cortijos (including the Cortijo del Tintín). It is then necessary to cross the arroyo del Tintín and begin the climb up to the highest point at 1405m (Cuerda de Hazas Negras). Those who want to climb up can. Following the track down, we come to a gate without a fence and then make our way back to the starting point.
