On this route, we walk up to the top of Pico Almendrón. The walk is approximately 13km long and takes about 6 hours to complete.
This is a stunning walk close to Pico Almendrón with a tough ascent for the first two hours, but which has superb views at various points. The path along the route is narrow at some points, with some steep drops, and we have to scramble across scree slopes in a couple of places, but it's fine unless you have severe vertigo. There is an option to go to the top of Almendrón, which is a particularly hard section involving some scrambling. The way back down is less steep and we will go through an amazing barranco.
