Cumbres Verdes: Fuente del Hervidero - Boca de la Pescá - Fuente Fría

Walk with Granada Rutas - Senderismo en Granada

Spanish

This circular clockwise walk starts near the Fuente El Hervidero near Cumbres Verdes. It is 10km long, has an elevation of 381m and takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

LONG DESCRIPTION

The route starts at the Restaurant El Hervidero near Cumbres Verdes. The walk begins with a gently uphill ascent to the viewpoint at Canal de la Espartera, then on to the Mirador de los Alayos, with its watchtower, and round the Cerro de las Pipas. There is then an optional steep uphill climb up to the La Boca de la Pescá. From here, we make our way gradually down through the Umbria de Miclara, passing the Cortijo de Parejo. We then circle the Loma de Licerá and make our way back, past the Fuente del Hervidero to the starting point.

A good variation of this walk would be to just walk to the  the La Boca de la Pescá and back.  The restaurant  El Hervidero requires reservation and  neither this restaurant nor the Guitara further down welcome people for just a drink.

Calorie Note: The calories info is grouped into 3 figures according to body weight including luggage. This is just a very rough guide. Our figures here are lower than a fitbit. You can see how much 5% beer you will need to drink to replace the calories you have burned.

Note: The GPX time is the time on the GPX file. The GPX might not be accurate if during the walk the walkers went for a meal for example. Naismith is a formula based on distance and elevation.
