This circular route follows the Río Genil from Cenes de la Vega to Pinos Genil. The route is 10.89 km long, has an elevation of 100 m and takes about 4 hours to complete.
The route starts by the Área de Servicio de Cenes de la Vega. We cross the bridge and follow the Río Genil retracing the route of the original Sierra Nevada tram route before getting to the beginning of the Canales Dam. We then cross to the other side of the river and make our way back through Pinos Genil and then back on the other side to the starting point. Although we pass 3 rivers on this walk, we do not get our feet wet.
