Refugio San Francisco

The San Francisco Hostel was the first fixed  building built in the Sierra Nevada for leisure use. It was a refuge for mountaineers and a base station for the first ski slopes, and the first ski lift in the Sierra Nevada.  After an eventful history and prolonged neglect, today only a part remains, somewhat modified from its original state and  poorly preserved.
