The quentar reservoir is located on the Granada to la Peza road. This road would be a good destination for a car excursion. The water is turquoise and the reservoir is very picturesque. A good suggestion for an excursion would be to take this road all the way to Guadix. If you carry on after the reservoir there are some lovely picnic area by the side of the river. There are large plantation of poplar trees by the side of the river which are particularly impressive in the autumn.
