Diezma: Río Fardes
Sunday 14th of April 2024 11:00 AMOn this circular route, we walk from the village of Diezma to the Río Fardes and back. The route is 11.59 km long, has an elevation of 284 m and takes about 4.5 hours to complete.
LONG DESCRIPTION
We begin the route in the small village of Diezma. We walk under the A92 motorway and then down through the olive groves in the Llano de las Eras and the Llano los Bañuelos, passing the Cortijo de los Bañuelos. We soon come to the Río Fardes which we follow for a while, passing a couple of old abandoned mills. We then make our way back up a fairly steep section through Los Tejares to La Cumbre. From here, the uphill section is more gentle as we pass the Cortijo de Jíbar up to the Haza de las Albuñuelas and back to the starting point.
