

This route explores the hills above Monachil. The route is 12.2 km long, has an elevation of 403 m and takes about 4 hours to complete.
This route is copied from the Trek Sierra Nevada (there is a link in the route info) It is high so it should be nice and cool.
LONG DESCRIPTION
The route starts at the Collado del Muerto (1491 m) on the Carretera El Purche. From here, we walk clockwise following the Camino Real de los Neveros up to the Cerro de Cuesta Bermeja (at almost 1680 m). We continue on to the Collado de las Víboras (1677 m) before making our way down to the Río Monachil, circling round the Cerro de Manolete. There is then a gentle uphill section therough Las Mimbres back to the starting point.
